WHAT IS THE ONLINE CONSORTIUM OF INDEPENDENT COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES (OCICU)? The Online Consortium of Independent Colleges and Universities, developed by Higher Learning Partners of Regis University in 2005, is a virtual academic consortium through which members collaborate in sharing fully online, credit-bearing courses and programs. Currently, over 60 institutions are members of the OCICU and more than 1,100 courses are available to them for their students. Membership in the OCICU is open to independent, not-for-profit, regionally accredited higher education institutions looking to strategically expand their course offerings and increase enrollments. WHO MANAGES THE OCICU? The OCICU is managed by Higher Learning Partners of Regis University (HLP). In this capacity, HLP recruits and manages the membership, develops the providers, facilitates communication activities, and manages the infrastructure and operations. WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH OCICU MEMBERSHIP? Membership in the OCICU grants institutions access to over 1,100 online courses and provides an opportunity to connect with members of other like-minded institutions, access to experts in higher education and online learning, and a management team committed to helping your institution succeed.
